Some light reading: Freakonomics

I had been reading this book for quite sometime. It was a god book that makes you go hmm... the chapters are titled things like, "Why do drug dealers still live with their moms?" and "What do school teachers and sumo wrestlers have in common?" They are things that come our of left field and are questions you would never thing to ask. It is a good book even for the biggest skeptic. It presents actual data and statistics for scrutiny as well as presents interesting social questions to intrigue human curiosity. I recommend it. I think is especially a good book if you are really busy and can't dedicate your self to spending a lot of time reading. This is the type of book you could read one chapter or few pages and pick it up later without really losing your place or forgetting the whole story. It is by Levitt and Dubner and called "Freakonomics a rouge economist explores the hidden side of everything. I am not doing it justice but I thought it was a lot of fun to read.

Took a week off

Well as you can probably tell from my last post I had a major hissy fit. :-) I am feeling better now. Nothing really interested has happened in my life lately. Same old grind of work, school, and home. This week though I have no boyfriend. He is lucky enough to be spending a week in Cancun. Must be nice. I am still in the process of getting my passport. :-) It is funny though because I think the first place I want to go with my Passport is France, to the Louvre. I just want to spend a week in that one museum. I would be in heaven, or so I hope. Have you ever been there? If you have tell me what it is like. Maybe I am a nerd in that I want to see Michelangelo, Leonardo, Da vinci, Monet, Manet, Picaso and so many others who I know nothing about. I love the beach, and I am sure I would be happier hat the beautiful beaches in the world, but I think I could enjoy a beach more when I am 50 and don't have the ability to walk around all day, or my eyesight is failing but I can still smell the ocean and feel the water. Who knows how much longer I will be able to actually see and appreciate those masterpieces.
